Now that the Fool has been introduced to the concept of community through the Hierophant, he now learns how to be in relation with others. This entry will focus on the sixth personal pattern of destiny, the Lovers.
Standard disclaimer that if you haven’t yet, I encourage you to read the below linked introductions to this topic prior to reading the explanation of each card. (Bonus: this will also help you figure out which pattern of destiny and life lesson posts are most relevant for you!)
For more context on when or why I like using the Pattern of Destiny personality (aka "birthday") card approach, check out the first Pattern of Destiny: The Magician post.
Back to our regularly scheduled post, already in progress!
The Lovers card is the sixth card that we encounter. It is a card of relationships and balance, among other things.
If your Pattern of Destiny number is 6 or 15, then you have the Lovers as your personality (aka soul) card. What does that mean?
Great at careers that involve cultivating one-on-one relationships or personal interactions
Are challenged by how much to share; have to recalibrate what constitutes oversharing or under-sharing each day
Need to find balance every day
The Shadow: When out of balance, Lovers are challenged by…
When they are hurt, it is in relationships
Individuals whose pattern of destiny is the number 6 (aka "straight 6s"), as opposed to 15s, have the Lovers as both their personality and life lesson card. That is to say that these individuals may be more challenged by both the strengths and weaknesses of the Lovers personality card than their 15 counterpart. For straight 6s, the Devil (15) is a shadow card that still impacts them subtly but is not their prime challenge or lesson in life.
Sixes are also more significant in readings for 6 and 15 Hierophants as they share the same base number, 6.
Michael Jackson – Lovers
Meryl Streep - Lovers
George W Bush – Lovers
Albert Einstein - Lovers
Joan of Arc – Devil Lovers
Richard Nixon – Devil Lovers
I hope you enjoyed learning a bit more about the Lovers personality. Be sure to keep an eye out for more entries in this personal patterns of destiny series.
In peace & love,
