I’ve decided to do a deeper dive into the energies in play in November as we set the stage for the major shift into the air age in December. If you are interested in an extended analysis, you can check out my November 2020 Tarotology Forecast.
Before we get started, I want to check in. How are you doing?
No, really. How are *you* doing?
It’s been a dramatic month in a dramatic year. And we aren’t even one third of the way through yet. I hope you can find time and space to detach this month and engage in something that brings you peace and tranquility. It is important to take that time to engage in meditation, that is to say whatever ritual practice that offers you some semblance of calm, balance or happiness. Be it actual meditation or bowling. (Side note: I am terrible at bowling.)
So why do I want to focus on mid-November?
Well, we’re just starting to see the beginnings of resolution following the U.S. Presidential Elections on November 3rd. But that does not mean November is through with us. Not by a long stretch. This next week in particular is pretty busy, cosmically speaking.
On November 9th, we will see a rather interesting clash between Venus and Mars. Venus is in Libra, its domicile. Mars is in Aries, also its domicile. Furthermore, the tarotscope for the day is 6 or The Lovers. Looks like the makings of a “lover’s spat” to me! The good news is that Venus in Libra is overcoming Mars in Aries, but it will still make for tensions. Just what we need.
Then on the 12th, we will see a Jupiter-Pluto conjunction for the third (and last!) time this year. Pluto represents wieldy topics such as power, hidden or buried things, death and transformation while Jupiter expands what it touches. Chris Brennan of "The Astrology Podcast" fame shared this grave graphic on a recent episode which correlates the 2020 Jupiter-Pluto conjunctions with the waves in US daily COVID-19 case numbers.

The tarotscope for November 12th is a 9, making it a Hermit Day. While I normally I try to avoid the “hermit” = extreme introversion and isolation (i.e. “shelter in place”) association, it may just be warranted in this case.
This week also has a Friday the 13th, for those who keep track. Being a “by the skin of her teeth” night of Thursday the 12th baby, I find Friday the 13th superstitions fascinating. It is one of the rare fears that has inspired two phobias (Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobiacs, beware!): paraskavedekatriaphobia and friggatriskaidekaphobia. Also, it happens to be a Wheel of Fortune day. Good luck!
And that brings us to the New Moon in Scorpio on November 14th or 15th, depending on where you are in the world. I like to think of this as the foreword to the end of November’s lunar eclipse preface of the air age to come. New moons are a time to refresh and gain a new start and Scorpio is a regenerative, albeit secretive, sign. As a fixed, watery sign, it is very deep and emotional. Channel the Justice card to see what is out of balance, or the Hanged Man to take a step back to critically reassess. Try to use this time to identify those emotional burdens from which you would like to free yourself.
And if you need to take some time for self-care, do so. This month has been raw, and 2020 isn’t over just yet - although I remain hopeful that we are starting and will continue to see some light at the end of the tunnel.
I’m here to listen.
In peace & love,
