Life Lesson: Wheel of Fortune

So now that we’ve wrapped our discussion of the nine different personality (aka “soul”) cards, it is time to take a dive into the life lessons we all encounter.

If you’ll recall, if in the process of reducing your birthday number to a digit between 0 and 22 you end up with a single digit (and therefore do not need to reduce further to obtain a personality card), your life lesson is the same as your personality card. That does not mean, however, that you do not feel the effects of the other cards that share the same base number. Rather, you feel them more subtly.

Let’s explore the Magician tarot constellation, to which the Wheel of Fortune belongs.

If your pattern of destiny adds up to 10, then you are a Wheel of Fortune Magician. 10 indicates that your life lesson is the Wheel of Fortune, which we will discuss momentarily. When you reduce to a single digit (10 = 1+0 = 1), you are left with 1 or a Magician as your personality card. Magicians may feel the effects of the Wheel of Fortune, but it is a “shadow” or “hidden factor” card for them more so than a "teacher" card.

Wheel of Fortune Magicians, on the other hand, are more consciously challenged to embrace the vicissitudes of life and fortune as depicted through the rich symbolism found in the Wheel of Fortune card in the tarot.

That’s all fine and dandy, but what does that mean in practice?

Well, if you have the Wheel of Fortune as your life lesson, you likely…

  • Have things “happen to” or “happen for” you (with potential regularity)

  • Are more affected by chance (good or bad) - includes bigger ticket things outside ones control such as inheritances or windfalls, as well as natural disasters, but also small scale strokes of luck and their propensity to occur

  • Are more sensitive to cycles similar to other cyclical life lesson types (Moon, Sun & World)

Specifically, Wheel of Fortune life lessons are more sensitive to the passage of the year and changing of the seasons.

Similarly, if the Wheel of Fortune is your personal card of the year based on your tarotscope from one birthday to the next, then you may find yourself temporarily under its influence that year.

I hope this helps and you learned a bit more about the Wheel of Fortune as a life lesson.

In peace & love,
